Season of Giving Directory Q4 2025
In Q4 2025, Hive Impact Fund (HIF) reached 89 families in the District of Columbia through its holiday resource guide. Serving predominantly black mothers with young children across multiple age groups (0–19), HIF connected them to organizations that provide free food and gifts to reduce financial strain during this season.
User Experience & Satisfaction
Participants reported a 4.7/5 average helpfulness rating, with 100% indicating they would recommend the program to others, demonstrating high perceived value and community trust. 100% of respondents learned about the program via trusted community networks, highlighting effective grassroots dissemination.
Evidence-Informed Program Improvement & Scalability
Survey data revealed actionable insights that directly informed 2026 program design, including earlier launch timelines, deadline tracking, expanded geographic coverage, and integration of mental health resources. In response, the Board approved a technology investment and analytics integration to improve accessibility, track utilization, and support data-driven scaling. Check out our impact report here.
Backpack Giveaway Q3 2025
In August 2025, Hive Impact Fund distributed 216 fully stocked backpacks to families across D.C., filled with school supplies and hygiene items.
What Was Inside
Each backpack was filled with school supplies and hygiene items, ensuring children had the essentials to start the year with confidence.
These items were made possible through the generous support of:
Amazon Donors, who provided various school supplies
Baby2Baby, which donated hygiene products and backpacks
DC Public Library, which contributed books for children
Backpack Distribution

Handed out at our in-person event. Loyalty Bookstore provided the location. Local outreach and in-person volunteer support were provided by Help Me Grow DC.
